All the work in this publication was produced over the thirty-one days for Gallery Red's annual exhibition 31 DAYS.

To answer the brief, the space between, I decided to explore what would happen if my illustration and photography met.

The idea behind the exhibition is to produce one artwork a day for thirty-one days, which turns out to be a pretty big ask. I have finished up with twenty-five works and one publication to hold them all. Approaching the end of the project I became loathe to separate the individual works from each other.

The 'weeks' that make up the chapters are loosely based on the bursts of creativity that produced the artwork. 'Week Five' was initially called 'Extra Time' but consistency eventually won over.

A big thank you to Jus, my beautiful wife, as well as Tristan, Ingrid and Elly, my colleagues, who have all been encouraging, supportive and patient with me as I have worked on putting this together.

Thanks also to Allison, for her last minute editorial assistance.
