I build custom WordPress sites, accessible digital documents and print publications, and I design, deliver and assess nationally recognised training.

About

Design that looks good, works well and makes sense

Whether the audience is a client, a website visitor or a learner, my focus is the same: clear communication, careful craft and work that's easy to use.

I studied graphic design at the University of Newcastle, illustrating artwork and icons for a software company's training platforms along the way. After graduating I worked across photography, print production and web development in Australia and the UK, then founded Red Ant Media in 2004. It grew into a small agency before I returned to freelance practice.

Since 2018 I've been Senior Web Developer with Red Flame Design, working with agency, government, financial services and professional services clients. In 2023 I completed my Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, and I now teach and write training resources at Sydney East Community College, alongside an ongoing personal art and photography practice.

Senior Web Developer

Red Flame Design

Contracted Senior Web Developer delivering design and digital services for agency, government, financial services and professional services clients.

Founded and directed a boutique creative agency (2004–2014), then continued as a freelance practitioner for arts, community, government, legal and retail clients.

  • Deliver reading, writing and numeracy training in the Forensic Hospital Program (2025–present)
  • Write the complete training and assessment packages for both programs

Travel itinerary maps

Illustrated route maps for a six-day Ehime adventure trail in Japan, from Osaka to Beppu: twelve stops, colour-coded daily routes, transport icons and bilingual English–Japanese place names.

Teaching

Practical skills, real confidence

I teach adult learners, from first-time device users to people building their reading, writing and numeracy, and I write the resources behind every unit: learner guides, workbooks, trainer and assessor guides, and the mapping that proves they meet the standard.

My industry background shapes how I teach: visual guides, scaffolded templates and tasks drawn from real workplaces, like timesheets, rosters, emails and simple data.
